Community Rehoming Corner
As much as we would love to welcome every guinea pig into Sunshine Piggy Rescue, it’s not always possible due to space and resource limitations. Rather than turning families away, we created the Community Rehoming Corner as a way to give guinea pigs outside of our care a better chance at finding safe, loving homes. By offering this platform, we provide guidance to owners while helping connect adopters with guinea pigs in need.
Why Use Sunshine Piggy Rescue’s Community Rehoming Corner?
Sunshine Piggy Rescue receives over 1,000 visitors per month, more than 3,000 page views, and approximately 60 surrender requests daily. By sharing our platform, we can help connect guinea pigs in need with loving homes — even when we don’t have the space to take them in ourselves. Our goal is to support our community and give every guinea pig the best chance at a safe, happy home.

Interested In Posting in the Community Corner?
To maintain safety and fairness for both guinea pigs and adopters, the following rules apply:

Contact Required – All listings must be submitted through Sunshine Piggy Rescue please contact us using the form below.

Indoor Homes Only – Guinea pigs are not to be rehomed into outdoor living situations and that new owners have adequate space/enclosure.

Health Agreement – Owners must sign a statement confirming, to the best of their knowledge, that the guinea pigs being rehomed do not have underlying health conditions.

No Free Listings – Guinea pigs may not be listed for free.

Ad Limits – We accept a maximum of 10 community ads per 30-day period.

Posting Frequency – Each household may submit only one listing every 90 days.

Photo Requirement – Owners must provide a clear photo of the guinea pig(s), which will be approved by Sunshine Piggy before posting.

Adoption Notification – Owners must notify Sunshine Piggy once the guinea pig(s) have been adopted so the listing can be removed.

Social media- Sunshine Piggy will make one social media courtesy post sharing your listing during the 30-day ad period to help increase reach.

Donation- Once your post is accepted, we do ask for a monetary donation to the rescue in order to post. The donation amount is set by the owner, min $1. This helps to continue to support our mission.

Florida Only- We only rehome in the state of Florida.
Please note that posting in the community corner is a courtesy, Sunshine Piggy Rescue has the right to decline or remove an ad at its discretion. Submitting this form does not guarantee that an ad will be posted.
